Sadie

Meet Sadie!

Sadie is a female coonhound who came from a surrender situation. Before coming to the shelter, Sadie experienced some trauma from her earlier years. Due to her background, she can be weary or meeting new people. When first meeting someone, she acts very defensively, because she is afraid. After just a little time getting used to a person, Sadie starts to open up. When she is comfortable, she shows her true colors! Sadie has shown what a sweetheart she can be once she gains her confidence. She loves to snuggle and roll over for belly rubs.  Her favorite place to be is next to the people she loves. Sadie loves going for walks and des well on a leash, she doesn’t really pull and always loves to have her nose to the ground. Sadie is learning how to play fetch and tug-of-war, once she gets the zoomies she’s ready to play! Sadie loves kids (once she gets to know them) and does well with cats. Sadie is good with most other dogs, once she gets to know them they become best friends.

Don’t let her bark fool you, Sadie is a lover, not a fighter. Once she warms up, Sadie can become the perfect dog given the chance! Take a chance on her and she will show that she will show you all the love she has to offer!
